Restorative Yoga

This very popular workshop is on again this month.

You work hard, your body works even harder. Why not take this time out to allow yourself and your body a chance to unwind, relax and renew. This workshop is predominantly done on the floor, in passive poses, so no prior knowledge or experience is required.

Come by yourself or bring a friend … tell no-one that it finishes at 12 noon and treat yourself to lunch at one of the many wonderful local restaurants in Maynooth.

Introduction to Yoga

There is so much development and change each day, it would be a pity to miss the opportunity to do all you can to feel well and enjoy this time. It is also a critical time to prepare physically and mentally for the birth and arrival of your baby. Come on your own or bring a partner (to pamper you).

Soma Workshop

Are you frustrated with restricted movement and muscle tension in the Neck , Shoulders and Upper back? Through slow gentle mindful movement, you learn to release the muscles causing restriction. 

This Soma Yoga workshop will introduce you to Somatic exercise with a little mix of yoga.  You will explore the richness of the relationship between body, mind and movement. The slow pace of Somatic exercises increases awareness, strength and focus – Lengthening muscles not stretching them – mobilising muscles that are not used to their full natural potential.

This class will teach you

  • Exercises that assist you to take control of your own health and mobility.

  • To move with awareness, monitoring sensory feedback from the body.

  • To slow down the ageing process on your physical body.

The A B C of Yoga

Whether you are a complete beginner or have been practicing for a number of years this fun workshop will bring you back to basics.

In yoga the simpler is often the most powerful.

However we can become distracted with the shapes and the poses. During this set of workshops you can take the opportunity to pare your practice back to basics, and from there sore to new highs.

No matter what level you are working at, this is the opportunity to go deeper, and discover the magic within.

This workshop will take place over two afternoons with eight weeks between them so you have an opportunity to practice what you have learned and bring it back to get your questions answered and to see and celebrate your progress. These workshops offer you a unique opportunity to take your practice to the next level.
