Our yoga classes on the retreat will be embodied, focusing on how it feels for you and not what it “should” look or feel like

What’s included?

  • 2 nights accommodation with private rooms and en suite bathrooms

  • All your delicious meals (from supper Friday to Lunch on Sunday)

  • Daily practises (two on Saturday)

  • Morning meditations

  • Discussion sessions with Laura

  • Free time for - Sea swims, beach walks, reading, last year we even made it to the beach for a sunrise meditation

 

Where is it?

It will take place in the lovely Ballyvaloo retreat centre in Blackwater, Wexford. The Retreat Centre offers simple, beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, with views of the sea, or the rose gardens. With no passing traffic, the rhythmic flow of the tide and the rustle of leaves are sure to lull you into a deep sleep.

The Beach & The Forest

The jewel in the crown of Ballyvaloo must be the unspoiled beach. With a private entrance directly to the beach. A dawn visit to the seashore is a must. The viewing point, which is accessible to all, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of this beautiful section of the Wexford coastline.

Blackwater beach leads directly onto Curracloe Beach and Forest, giving lots of opportunities for a long leisurely afternoon walk or walking meditation.

  • What is Embodied Yoga?

    Embodied Yoga focuses on you, the practitioner and how movement feels within your body. Mind and body are encouraged to work together focusing on sensations and feelings that arise within YOU.

  • Do you need any prior experience?

    Absolutely not, it is perfect for total beginners, experienced practitioners & everyone in between.

  • Can I come alone?

    Absolutely, it is the perfect retreat to do on your own, or with a friend or life partner. Everyone gets to have their own space while being part of a group of wonderful people.

  • Who is the retreat for?

    EVERYONE. This retreat will benefit you if you are looking for some time out; If you want to dive deeper … and explore what is blocking you be yourself … this may be the weekend for you. The overarching ideas and principles covered will have a trickle-down effect on all aspects of your life, including … your communication, behavior, and relationships, firstly… with yourself and then with others. The potential is limitless …. both on a personal or professional level.

  • What are the benefits of attending our Retreat?

    Practicing in a group and at a retreat centre is priceless. You will have lots of time for walking, breathing & stillness during the weekend. Whilst also enjoying great company, wholesome nourishing food & time out from busy lives & schedules.

  • Arrive from 4:30pm - Check - in and start to unwind

    6pm Supper

    7:30 pm - Introductory talk

    8:30 Practice

  • Sunrise meditation (on the beach weather permitting)

    9:00am Breakfast

    10am- 12pm Practice

    12:10-12:30 - Sanga Q&A session

    1pm Lunch

    3pm - 5pm FREE TIME - Time to go Walking, Swimming, Sleep, Read etc…. Whatever feels good to you

    6pm Supper

    7:30pm - 9:30pm Practice

  • Sunrise meditation (on the beach weather permitting)

    9:00am: Breakfast

    10:00am - 12pm Practice

    12:10-12:30 - Sanga Q&A session

    1pm Lunch & Check-out. Beach is still accessible for walks
