As a teacher your health and wellbeing is critical. Critical for you, critical for your class and critical for the school.

Take this time to allow yourself to be nurtured and taken care of.

During this week you will not only build your own wellbeing and resilience, but also develop strategies you can put in place for next year and years to come.

Teacher wellness is so important, that is why we split each day. Each morning we will support your wellbeing. Help you develop a personal wellness plan. Looking after yourself as a teacher means each day you can be your best self and inspire greater learning in the classroom.

Nurture yourself

Each afternoon we will work on integrating what you’ve experienced (eg. guided meditation and movement) into the classroom. Investigating the integration of movement into teaching maths, geography and sphe. Through both personal reflection and input from research develop a deeper understanding of the role of the nervous system and movement on wellbeing and cognitive development.

Build your resilience

Throughout the course you will participate in a personal yoga practice in the morning and in the afternoon we will use group discussion and investigation, experiential learning, personal reflective practise, case study, research review, etc. You will have the opportunity to identify key problems or potential challenges and work with the support of your colleagues and tutor to develop solutions.

  • Each morning it’s all about your wellbeing, you get to participate and experience nurturing and restorative yoga, and meditation.

Movement breaks enhancing wellness & cognition

  • Each afternoon discover how to bring this same mindfulness to your students through Maths, English and Geography. We all work together to design and develop strategies that are ready for you to bring straight into your classroom in September.

Develop practical resources and strategies
