Weekly Yoga Classes to support you through the stages of Menopause

Denise Brady is a menopause specialist who offers a Yoga class especially designed for women approaching the menopause or in the peri-menopausal stage of life. These dedicated classes utilise different postures to stimulate the endocrine system and relax the nervous system in order to help alleviate some of the troublesome symptoms of the menopause, or help prepare the body for this phase of life.

Not only do these classes help to make the physical and mental symptoms of the menopause easier to cope with, they also offers a sense of empowerment and a supportive community to help with the emotional side of things. With all these elements, these classes are a great way to feel good about this sometimes difficult time of life.

 

Menopause Wellness Series

 

On Tuesday October 18th; international Menopause awareness day, we were delighted to begin our Menopause Wellness Series with a Webinar to mark the day.

We invited expert speakers in the area of Yoga & Meditation, Nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine, a GP and a Homeopath; all with years of experience in their field.

This was such a warm and inclusive environment with practical real world actionable tips from our speakers.

In addition to our Webinar we committed to bring you further Menopause Support. All of our speakers on the evening will deliver individual sessions with Laura Wynne. Keep an eye on this page as we update with individual sessions,

 

Episode 1: The Webinar

Denise Brady; Yoga Teacher and Menopause Specialist at Aruna Studios leads the conversation to introduce our Menopause Wellness Series. In this Webinar we hear from the following Experts:

  • Tania Wynne - Homeopath

  • Dawn Quinn - Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner

  • Dolores Gordon - Nutritionist, Holistic chef & General Nurse

  • Dr. Janet Brady - GP with Specialist training in Menopause

 

Episode 2: HRT

Laura and Dr. Brady have an in depth conversation about the pros and cons of HRT as a tool for women experiencing the menopause.

Janet talks us through the process of prescribing the correct form and dose of HRT for women. She talk us through what an in depth consultation should look like, and most importantly she informs us of the positive outcomes some women can have with this treatment.

 

Episode 3: Nutrition

In this episode Laura chats to Dolores Gordon about her own experiences of a Shock Menopause and how this drove her to research and focus on nutrition as a way to help herself and others. Dolores speaks very openly and candidly about her own experiences and brings her own lived tips to the conversation. Her perspective on Menopause is honest, empowering and a must listen!
