We are a very small local business, passionate about offering high-quality teacher training, yoga classes, workshops and retreats. We believe that yoga, breathwork and meditation can support the world, one breath at a time. We are always doing our best to balance all the competing needs of a small business, while somehow staying viable. For this reason, it is necessary to have clear terms and conditions in place. I hope they are sensible and clear.

We offer a number of services, and add new ones all the time. This covers them all, including and not limited to:

  • Group, Semi Private, Private, Corporate, One to One,

  • Online, On Demand, In Person, or Residential

  • At Aruna Studio and Other Locations

  • CLASSES & BLOCKS OF CLASSES

  • RETREATS, WORKSHOPS, MASTER CLASSES

  • TEACHER TRAINING, MENTORING


Looking after ourselves and each other 

As yogis, it is important that we look after each other, it is also important that we look after ourselves. So give yourself and others the respect, patience and kindness to recognise that learning and change are processes that often include moments of frustration, confusion and growing pains. 

Medical Conditions & Wellness

You should consult a physician prior to enrolling to practise yoga. Otherwise, you assume the risk of your own physical condition, your past and current medical issues/injuries/illnesses or medication that may affect your ability to take a class. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis, or treatment. It is your responsibility to notify the teacher of any serious illness or injury before every yoga class. It is also YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to stay safe during the class. Do not perform any postures to the extent of strain or pain. If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the pose.

The Legal Bit - Disclaimer

Aruna Yoga, its teachers, personnel and owners, are not liable for any injury or damages to the person or property resulting from taking a class or in the future, and you use the premises and facilities at your own risk.

Registration for All Events

  • Bookings are taken via WhatsApp or the website. Fees can be paid by cash at the studio or by credit/debit card through the website. 

  • Please note that due to limited class sizes, a place is only guaranteed by receipt of full payment. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • All fees are due to be paid in full by the first day of the course/event. No booking is final until full payment is received. 


Special Offers

  • Special offers or promotions are not valid in conjunction or combination with other promotions.

  • All promotions have strict exploration dates and times. All times are local Irish times.

Class Size

  • All In Person Classes at Aruna Studio are to a maximum size of 20 students. 

  • The minimum number is generally 8, however, this may vary depending on the class/course/workshop.

  • If a class needs to be cancelled because of a lack of bookings, we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible and to accommodate you in an alternative class. If that is not possible, we will refund you all fees paid.

  • If a class or event is full we may offer a waiting list. This operates on a first come first served basis. If offered a place from the waiting list you have an hour to reply before the please will be offered to the person next on the list. The place is only secured upon receipt of the full payment for the event.


Teachers / Trainers

  • Should the advertised teacher, retreat leader or trainer become unavailable for any reason we will replace them with a similarly experienced and qualified teacher/trainer. Refunds or deferments will not be possible. However, for classes, if there is capacity, you can transfer to another class during the same block.


Under 18’s

  • Students must be over 16, unless attending with a parent or guardian, or the class/workshop is specifically for children/teenagers.


Streaming / Online Classes

  • When we offer Live online / Streamed classes we will do our very best to ensure everything runs smoothly, However, should we experience technical problems which prevent the live streaming or the recording of a class you can join any other class during the block. Should you have technical issues, we will do our best to facilitate you, if possible, with access to another online class within that block. 


In-Studio Classes

  • We offer in-person, in-studio classes, workshops, retreats and training. However, if we are prevented from offering in-person classes for any reason, we will notify you As Soon As Possible, by WhatsApp & Email, and ALL classes, workshops, retreats and training will be transferred to LIVE ONLINE classes, workshops, retreats or training. We can not offer refunds. Please trust that we have a great deal of experience doing this and the format will be adjusted to ensure you get just the same great value and benefit you have come to expect. 


Missed Class Policy

  • Students are very welcome to make up missed classes (subject to availability) within the same course block by joining the online class. Missed class online replacements must also be utilized during the block in which it occurred. Missed classes cannot be used as credit from one block/course/term to another.

  • Under NO circumstances are refunds given for missed classes due to illness or injury that may occur during a term. We need to maintain the ongoing viability of classes. If you are on a membership, it can be paused. If you have a block of classes, they can be transferred to a friend or family member. 

  • Students are welcome to make up missed classes during the block only by attending online yoga or meditation classes. If there is no live online option, we will offer you access to our online library to choose a class.


Cancellation Policy For Studio Classes

  • 50% refund if cancelled 10 days prior to start

  • 25% refund if cancelled within 10 days of start

  • No refund within 48 hours of the block starting. You can transfer it to friends or family members. (We need to know our actual numbers to be fair to the teachers and other students).


Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy For One To One Classes

  • No charge if rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to appointment

  • 50% refund if cancelled 10 days prior to appointment

  • 25% refund if cancelled within 10 days of start, 

  • no refund for no-show or cancellation within 48 hours of class. You can transfer it to friends or family members.


Cancellation Policy For Residential Retreats

  • All residential retreats include a non-refundable administration booking fee of €150. 

  • If you cancel your spot on a retreat 3 months (or more) prior to the start date of the retreat, the full cost of the retreat minus the €150 will be refunded. 

  • If you cancel less than three months and up to two weeks in advance we will refund you the the full cost of the retreat minus the €150 ONLY IF WE SUCCESSFULLY FILL YOUR SPOT ON THE RETREAT

  • Cancellations within 14 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund.
    However, we understand life can place all manner of unexpected events in our path. You are always welcome to transfer or gift your spot to a friend or family member. Just contact us with their details and we can register them. 


Cancellation Policy For Teacher Training Professional Development & Specialist Courses

  • Deposits are transferable but non-refundable

    • Up to 1 month before the start date of the training, your fee can be transferred to a different Course or deferred to the next course date (if it has been published).  Or you can receive a refund of 50% of the total fee for the course.

    • Up to 1 week prior to the start of the training your place can be transferred to a different ELIGIBLE person.

    •  After that date, transfers are no longer possible.


Cancellation Policy For Teacher Training Courses (200hr, 260hr & 300hr)

  • Deposits are transferable but non-refundable

    • Up to 1 month before the start date of the training, your deposit can be transferred to a different Teacher Training Course or deferred for 1 year (if the course is running the following year). 

    • Up to 1 week prior to the start of the training they can be transferred to a different ELIGIBLE person

    •  After that date transfers are no longer possible.

    • Teacher training deposits can not be transferred to other products.

  • Fees less the deposit of €550 can be transferred or deferred

    • as outlined above

    • if it is more than 1 month prior to the start of the training they can be refunded (Full fee paid less the deposit of €550)

    • After that date refunds are no longer possible.

  • The full training course place can be transferred to a new ELIGIBLE student at any time up to 1 week prior to the start of the course.

  • Once the course starts, no refunds or transfers are possible. This is necessary to ensure the training is viable. At this point, it would be impossible to fill your place, and all of the fixed costs would be committed to.

Teacher Training Fees

  • ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL before THE START DATE OF THE TRAINING unless you choose a payment plan. 

  • If you choose a payment plan, you agree to complete the payment plan in full, EVEN IF YOU CHOOSE TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TRAINING FOR ANY REASON. Please know that while this may be hard for you, it is necessary to ensure the training course remains viable.


Teacher Training Payment Plans

  • We attempt to make the training as affordable and available as possible. To this end we offer payment plans. Should you choose to avail of this option, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FULL PLAN & PAY THE FULL FEE, even though you may not have the full amount paid before the training starts. 

  • If a payment is missed, we will retry in 3 days. If it is missed a second time the additional bank charges and administration costs will be passed on to the student, €15 per transaction.

  • We understand that occasionally something may happen that means you need to withdraw from the training before it is complete. We will do all we can to support you. HOWEVER YOU HAVE AGREED TO COMPLETE THE PAYMENT PLAN & PAY THE FULL FEE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU COMPLETE THE TRAINING. There can be NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS. This is necessary to ensure the training remains viable for everyone. It may be difficult, however, we can not replace you once the training has started.

Aruna Academy Required Withdrawal from the Teacher Training 

  • Teacher training is a deeply personal journey. For that reason, Aruna can cancel the contract and ask you to withdraw from the training at any time. This may be for your wellness or that of the group. In this situation, a full refund will be issued.

Certification Of Teacher Training Courses

  • Certification of attendance is given where full payment has been received and full attendance and participation has taken place.

  • We take our TEACHER CERTIFICATION very very seriously. It is NOT guaranteed. I will only certify people I am confident are safe and competent. This is for EVERYONE'S benefit - the public, the teacher themselves, ALL ARUNA certified teachers, and in fact all Yoga teachers. No one is served by poorly trained or under qualified people teaching yoga, most especially the students.

  • Teaching Certification is given where full payment has been received and full attendance and participation has taken place, continuous assessment standards are met and the student demonstrates an aptitude and ability to teach.

  • Should the required standard for Teaching Certification not be met in time for the June Graduation, the student will receive guidance as to what skills or knowledge are needed and (at their own expense) has the opportunity to develop the necessary skills or knowledge by the 31st of August in that year. At this point, they can be reassessed at no additional cost.

  • Should more time be required, the student can apply for reassessment; the cost of reassessment is €250.

  • Should the teaching standard be met, however, the other requirements not be met (for example: completion of the training materials, personal practice hours, etc), the student has until 31st of August in that year to complete and get certified at no additional cost. After that point there is €100 administration cost for certification. 

  • Should the teaching standard be met, but the completion of the required training hours is not met, the student can attend the relevant day the following year. They will only be certified as a teacher at that date. In exceptional circumstances, for example, if the training is not happening the following year, Additional hours can be made up privately with an Aryna Accredited Tutor. The student must bear the additional cost of the tutor and any other expenses, for example, the venue or travel.

Lifetime Access 

  • You may have lifetime access to the online training materials, meaning you can revisit the content as often as you like for as long as the course is available and I continue to offer this type of work. While “lifetime” doesn’t mean forever in a literal sense, it does ensure ongoing access for the lifetime of the course’s availability within my offerings. If anything changes, I’ll always do my best to communicate clearly and with plenty of notice.


Photographs & Social Media Content

  • Fortunately or unfortunately we live in a time of social media, and to be able to support us, do the work we do and support our community, deal with the stresses and strains of life we need to feed the social beast. To that end we take lots of videos and photographs. We will never post an unflattering photo, however you may not want to be in any of them regardless. That is never a problem, simply let the teacher know (before or after) and we will not post it. Should something be posted you dont like with you in it, let us know and we will take it down.


Training Videos

  • I do a lot of mentoring and training, my classes are generally available to the teachers training with me at any given time. Again if you do not want to be seen in those videos, please let me know and we can ensure you are out of camera. However, if you are willing, let me thank you. It is your willingness that trains, educates and inspires the great teachers of tomorrow. Thank you.
