Day 1 to Day 3

Inviting in the power of Durga, the Warrior Goddess help you destroy the barriers you have holding you back. Letting go the old, (beliefs, restrictions) to make space for the new.

Journal Questions Day 1 to 3:

Remember the first step is destruction, in order to create space and release energy to rebuild. BUT remember to include compassion, tenderness, and a little bit of humour or lightness.

Read each of the journal ideas below, over the next 3 days pick one to journal about. Pick the one that calls you. Pick the one your resisting most. Pick any other one at all.

  • What I am afraid of is ……

  • The reason I can’t ……. is …..

  • What I will probably never do is ….. (Allow yourself be wild ~ ‘Sing with U2 at Wembley Stadium, Climb Mt. Everest, Become an Astronaut …. Go mad with this one)

  • What I would most like to let go of - some day - is ….

  • An area of my life where I am falsely over confident, or intimidated by another’s over confidence is ….

If you’re struggling with the humour, imagine me as an Astronaut (an old dream of mine), teaching yoga in my space suit, on the space station, prattling on about bone density .… Sometimes its like a dream come true, here in my pod, zooming classes to you :)

DAY 4: Get 3 pages for 3 different lists, WHAT I WANT TO BE… WHAT I WANT TO DO… WHAT I WANT TO HAVE... keep writing things until you run out of ideas and then leave the pages around so you can add things during the day and particularly in the morning (don’t forget to bring them to bed).

Don’t quit on yourself. Keep writing, no idea is too small or big.

DAY 5: Number each of the lists from 1 (most important) to 100 (least important)

Day 6: Read your list, create a mantra for yourself from it (POSITIVE PRESENT TENCE) , notice how it reals to use this mantra, journal about any resistance you find.

Activities for Day 7 to 9:

Day 7. Take 10 minutes to meditate. Chose any of the previous mantras, your own mantra that you created on Day 6 or sit in silence

Day 8. Take a moment 2 or 3 times during the day to stop and check in, how am i feeling, where is my reaction coming from? My limiting beliefs? My self doubt? My fear or insecurity? Or maybe Love, Compassion or Kindness … My True Self.

Day 9. See your day and your programmed reactions from a new perspective. When you go to bed, play your day BACKWARDS, from now to when you got up this morning. Be open to seeing yourself and those you met today with compassion.

The 10th Day is considered to the be day Light triumphs over Darkness.

I love how traditions from around the world echo each other.
