It all started when…
I came to yoga nearly 20 years ago when I was looking for some gentle exercise that would help my body and mind after my very busy workdays, while trying to balance my home and work life as a single Mam. This need began my yoga journey as I found a space to relax and switch off from the challenges of day-to-day life, and yoga has been my life saver. In more recent years I discovered the joyous benefits of meditation. Combining both yoga and meditation has helped me build my self- awareness, breathe deeply and reconnect with myself, and took me on my next journey towards teacher training.
I qualified as an Embodied Yoga and Meditation Teacher with Aruna Academy in 2026 and set up Cuan Yoga. As a newly qualified yoga teacher, I am passionate about creating welcoming, fun, supportive spaces for students to slow down, reconnect, and move with intention. Inspired by the Irish meaning of “cuan” – a place of calm, refuge and sanctuary – my classes are designed to help students feel grounded, present and at ease in both body and mind.
As an embodied yoga teacher, I encourage students to move with awareness, curiosity and compassion, focusing less on achieving the “perfect” pose and more on developing a deeper connection with themselves. My teaching blends mindful movement, breath awareness, mobility and relaxation to support strength, balance and nervous system regulation in an accessible, fun and inclusive way. At Cuan Yoga I hope to offer a welcoming space where students can pause, move, breathe deeply and return to themselves with greater connection and ease. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
